Last day in Madrid

Well, I take off tomorrow. This is just an amazing city. Today I walked through the park, had tea by the lake in the park, took the sight-seeing bus around the city, and had a shot of their herbal liquour for ¨warming¨purposes! I´m not sure how Madrid does it, but it is probably the cleanest huge city I´ve ever been in. People take the time to throw those flyers you get handed out in the trash! Not only that, but the air is clean here. I don´t know what it is like in the summer, but it is cool, beautiful and the trees are beginning to bud here now. It should be even more like spring further south.

They also never sleep here! Dinner starts around 10pm, and lasts for a couple of hours. There is a siesta from 2-4pm or 2-6pm depending on the shop, so maybe they sleep then!

I´ve just about spent my two internet cards, but I wanted to let you know life is good. Also, I have a phone again. The number is 617061512. No clue how you would call that from the states, but an international phone card should work.

Take care of yourselves!
Earline
